The Hungarian Science and Technology Foundation
The Hungarian Science and Technology foundation Hungarian Science and Technology Ffoundation is a non-profit public foundation established by the Hungarian Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1994. Its mission is to support the development, realisation and better marketability of Hungarian research, development and innovation (RDI) ideas by encouraging international cooperation, providing information, consultancy on grants/tenders and project management.Since 1996 the Foundation has been responsible for the management of the researcher mobility and workshop projects based on bilaterial scientific and technology agreements. After 2008 this activity has been broaden by the management of S&T projects based on bilaterial governmental agreements.
Since 1999 the Foundation is member of the EU Framework Programme contact office network supported by the National Innovation Office as well as an active parttaker of these EU research framework programmes. As 1 of the 2 leading organisations it was member of the ERAMORE Mobility Centers Network and now it is the national leader and a service center provider of EURAXESS Network.
Tempus Public Foundation
Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) is a non-profit organization established in 1996 by the Hungarian Government, with the task of managing international cooperation programmes and special projects in the field of education, training and EU-related issues. TPF aims at supporting initiatives aiming at the modernization and quality improvement of education, training, RTD and human resources development, encouraging international cooperation and mobility, and strengthening the European dimension in these fields. TPF activities include the management of scholarship and cooperation programmes, trainings, and it also has a knowledge centre role.
TPF is intensively involved in international activities, in order to encourage foreign institutions to cooperate with Hungarian partners on the one hand, and to make known the achievements at European level on the other. International activities include help in partner search, regular newsletters and other publications available in English, a guide for international students, teachers and researchers (available on-line at www.studyinhungary.hu), taking part in international projects and bilateral cooperation as partner or coordinator, active role in dissemination projects funded by the European Commission, as well as active participation in the implementation of the Lisbon Strategy. |
